TAB Level Up Business Conference: Empowering Entrepreneurs to Take Their Companies to the Next Level
TAB of Central New Jersey (TAB CNJ) celebrates the success of its TAB Level Up Business Conference; a dynamic event designed to inspire and equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and strategies needed to thrive in today's rapidly evolving business landscape. This conference featured industry leaders and experts who shed light on critical topics essential for business growth and success.
Scott Martin, Chief Investment Officer of Kingsview Asset Management kicked off the conference by delivering the keynote address on “How to Pivot & Prepare: Economic Trends and Your Business”. Understanding economic trends is crucial for staying ahead of the competition, and Martin provided valuable insights into the economic landscape, helping attendees make informed decisions regarding pricing strategy, risk management, and other crucial aspects of their businesses.
The morning sessions explored key areas for using technology to improve your business. The “Boost Productivity and Efficiency with Practical and Accessible Technology Tools” session highlighted myriad technology solutions that are easily accessible to small business owners which can streamline critical processes and boost productivity. The session on "A Look at the Future Tech Curve: Understanding Generative AI" addressed what AI is today, where it is headed and how business owners are using it now to gain a competitive advantage.
A Panel of M&A professionals and TAB members who have successfully sold their companies kicked off the afternoon session with, “Secure Your Future: Planning A Successful Business Exit”. Planning an exit strategy is a crucial consideration for small business owners, so this was an especially helpful session to TAB members.
The panel discussion was dedicated to sharing insights, live experiences and strategies for selling your company at maximum value and with minimum execution risk. Whether you want to sell your company or pass it along to the next generation, a thoughtful plan is essential for securing peace of mind and financial stability.

Dave Anderson, President & CEO of LearnToLead, and renowned speaker and author on personal and corporate performance improvement, delivered a captivating afternoon keynote address on "Overcoming the Six Temptations of Successful Organizations". Anderson shared that when a leader thinks they’ve climbed a mountain and “arrived”, they unconsciously decide to build a fence around what they have rather than keep climbing. Their mentality can shift from a growth to a maintenance mind-set and they often trade in innovation for optimization. Attendees gained valuable strategies on how to overcome these temptations and sustain long-term success.
Additionally, the TAB Level Up Business Conference gave TAB CNJ business owners the opportunity to connect and build relationships across our 70-member business community. It was a great way for participants to interact, exchange ideas, and forge connections with like-minded professionals from diverse industries. As with all of the TAB offering the conference prioritized creating a supportive business community where attendees can collaborate, share experiences, and cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships.
